November Xbox 360 Dashboard update
After watching the preview video we thought the new November Xbox 360 Dashboard update looks cool. It has a Windows 7 mobile look to it.
Additional features are an apparently revamped Facebook integration system, as well as a cloud storage utility for saved games and Xbox Live profiles. This is great because I always worry about my saved games being lost with a failed hard drive. But, whether the cloud feature will be extended to full games and Arcade titles hasn’t been confirmed yet. The dashboard now also runs silently. Personally I always deactivate the dashboard sounds as I use my Xbox as a media Centre for the living room and the sounds got old really quickly.
Major Nelson of Microsoft and Xbox Live stated about the November Xbox 360 Dashboard update: “other features and entertainment partner apps” may be made available during the program period, and that “This is an important program as we continually strive to ensure the reliability of a service that reaches tens of millions globally.”
“We could not do so without the ongoing help of our great community.”
